Peninsula Kingswood – Australia

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Peninsula Kingswood (PK) was the largest Golf reconstruction project in Australia in 2016. PK has two water sources for the playing surfaces, one is class A recycled water which is pumped into storage tanks and the other is stormwater which is harvested and pumped into a holding dam.

The dam water is only used on greens and the effluent (class A recycled) water is used on tees and fairways. This design necessitated two separate irrigation systems, both of these were installed in the one trench. We were pioneers of this dual system, which has become so successful we have implemented a similar system at Victoria Golf Club, The Furrows at Kingston Heath and we are currently using this design at Huntingdale Golf Club.

There was 70,000m of pipe installed during the PK project provides evidence to the enormity of it. Another significant milestone from this project worth mentioning. We were the first in Australia to install the new Toro Infinity sprinkler with great success.
