Brief History
Luke and Dan first met at Trade school in March 1993. Both were studying Turfgrass Management. They worked together later that decade at Victoria Golf Club (Melbourne, Australia) where Luke was the Assistant Golf Course Manager and Dan held the foreman position. Both were keen golfers, Dan achieving some amateur success winning a Club Championship at Rich River Golf Club and playing pennant golf with Latrobe Golf Club.
It was early in the 2000’s when Luke discovered his passion for irrigation and started his own business – Superior Green. Over the next 20 years Luke turned this business into the leading Golf Course Irrigation business in Australia. Utilising his knowledge of Turf Management and golf course maintenance he was able to offer a level of knowledge beyond what his competitors could.
Dan chased his dream of becoming a golf course superintendent which lead to roles at Barnbougle Dunes (Tasmania Australia), Royal Queensland Golf Club (QLD, Australia), Blue Canyon Country Club (Thailand) , 27 Club (China) and Danang Golf Club (Vietnam). Before moving into golf course construction and project management in Vietnam with the building of Hoiana Shores Golf Club. This change provided a new challenge which Dan relished and reivigorated his love for golf course construction and design.
Through all of this, his friendship with Luke continued, staying in touch regularly talking shop and comparing knowledge whenever time allowed. When Dan moved back to Australia after 10 years working in South East Asia Luke and Dan decided to join forces to create Vietnam Irrigation & Construction (VIC).

Our Philosophy
The game of golf should be fun but more times than not it isn’t. Golf is hard. At VIC we understand that it is in the best interest of everyone to make the golfers experience enjoyable.
So how does irrigation and construction impact a golfers enjoyment? Simple, by ensuring that irrigation sprinklers are perfectly spaced for optimal coverage of turfgrass. Investing time into understanding the site and environmental conditions. Guaranteeing that the course is constructed to the owners liking and respecting the golf course architects design.
VIC prides themselves on working through any issue that may arise and relying on all of our experiences to reach the ultimate goal, which is the provice the best possible golf course construction, on time and on budget.
Over the past 34 years, the company directors have drawn a wealth of experience from the game, having been involved in everything from tournament golf to golf course construction in more than 6 countries around the world.
